Breast feeding for babies is very important as it have number of nutritional advantages. Amino acid found in breast milk and the building blocks of proteins found in breast milk are we balanced for babies and also sugars (primarily lactose) and fats. Therefore vitamins, enzymes and minerals found in breast milk play important in the baby’s intestinal tract for making digestion strong. Breast milk is very important for making babies body strong for fighting with infections as breast milk contains infection-fighting antibodies from the mother, due to this it is believed to be at a reduced risk for many acute and chronic infections early in life of the baby. Therefore it has been found that cholesterol contents in human milk are very high contrast to formulas. As cholesterol helps in growth of brain and it also provides the building blocks of hormones, vitamin D, and intestinal bile.
Another advantage of breast milk is its cost as it is the least expensive way to feed a baby. Therefore it is mandatory for mother to take good nutrition and it’s also mandatory for mother to take vitamin/mineral supplements which is recommended to her by his doctor during pregnancy period.
When it comes to formula-feed babies there is great risk of developing number of allergies. Therefore when baby develops an allergy to formula, then baby may have symptoms such as irritability, crying after feedings, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea etc.
Therefore it is found that nursing helps number of mother lose weight after the delivery of the baby as while breast feeding about 500 calories or more are used every day.
On the other hand extra closeness that almost every mother experience in form of hormonal and emotional in nature.
Breast feeding can have some adverse effect of baby when things are not going well for instance if there is inadequate supply of breast milk or an inefficient suck reflex in the baby. on the other hand, it is unusual for a mother not to produce enough milk for her baby except she is not breastfeeding correctly or frequently enough.
On the other hand it has also been found that breast feeding babies usually eat more often contrast to formula-fed babies since breast milk is more quickly digested and leaves the stomach empty more frequently. This is the reason why it puts more stress on the mother because of the potential necessity for more frequent feedings. Therefore if mother develops certain medical conditions, whether or not to continue breastfeeding may need to be reassessed. If this condition starts it’s very important to consult doctor.
